Rhonda Lee Lother
Senior Editor, Quilt Street
Rhonda began quilting in 1993 after starting her career in publishing at Oxmoor House. There she worked with notable authors Georgia Bonesteel, Mary Hickey, Natalie Sewell, Nancy Zieman, and Marianne Fons and Liz Porter as managing editor on their magazine, For the Love of Quilting. One of her earlier quilts, which has more than 10,000 pieces, is cataloged in the Library of Congress as the Alabama state winner of a national contest. She joined Hoffman Media in 2017 as Senior Copy Editor. Although she is drawn to all kinds of quilts and styles, she currently finds her personal work influenced by bright colors and novelty prints. She attended Birmingham-Southern College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a double major in English and history. When she’s not quilting, Rhonda enjoys gardening, especially tending to her potager. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, she now lives in the countryside north of the city with her husband, Bill.
