E-books

After collecting printed books for years, the concept of an e-book is relatively new for many of us. It is a book that resides in electronic form on the website, which you can download or read on-screen. The content is delivered directly to your computer. What are the advantages of e-books at Quilt Street? Members will receive three with their membership. E-book pages can be downloaded or printed as needed.

Books are important to quilters! Many people have learned to quilt from a book with well-written instructions and fine illustrations. Photography enhanced the learning experience. This will be the focus of Quilt Street in our e-books: to create books with beautiful illustrations, photographs, and excellent instructions.

E-books provide many benefits. You don’t have to think about postage, delivery, or finding more shelf space to store a physical book. You can read and store them on your electronic device or print out the pages you need for a specific project, if you prefer to have a hard copy. Information is easily accessible and ready at your fingertips, and they are searchable in seconds. How exciting to think about that!

Teach Me How to Quilt Using a Sit-Down Longarm

If you complete quilt tops faster than you can quilt them yourself or pay to have someone else to quilt them, it might be time to consider investing in a longarm machine! In our “Teach Me How to Quilt Using a Sit-Down Longarm” video series, Nina McVeigh shares her tips for quilting with a sit-down longarm machine. Nina is a quilter, designer, and fabric artist. She previously owned a quilt shop for 15 years and most recently was the Quilting and Longarm Specialist for BERNINA of America, where she was instrumental in the development of BERNINA’s Longarm Quilting Machines.

Three Classic Quilts

No matter what changes in our quilting world, we still find inspiration in vintage quilts. In Three Classic Quilts, we share a beginner, intermediate, and advanced quilt. The quilters who made these coverings often had to work with material they had on hand, which created some striking combinations. Let them spark your imagination as you create your next project!
