Welcome to Quilt Street!
Lorna Reeves - Editorial Director, Quilt Street

Lorna Reeves

Senior Editorial Director, Quilting & Sewing

Lorna has been sewing since she was a teenager, but she didn’t refine those skills until her college years at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, when Phyllis Hoffman DePiano befriended her. Under Phyllis’s tutelage, Lorna learned garment sewing, counted thread embroidery, and quilting.

In 1991, Lorna began her career at Hoffman Media, where her needlework skills and love for fiber arts served her well during her tenure as editor of both Just CrossStitch and Sampler & Antique Needlework Quarterly magazines. Next, Lorna, an accomplished home cook, guided another Hoffman publication, Taste of the South, through its first five years before trading spatulas for teacups in her move to TeaTime in late 2009. In addition to her responsibilities as editor of TeaTime, Lorna is pleased to continue Phyllis’s legacy by serving as Senior Editorial Director for Classic Sewing and Quilt Street.

Lorna has been a needlework teacher and speaks at tea trade shows and festivals throughout the United States and Canada, as well as at women’s ministry events. She and her husband, Brent, are parents of two married children and reside in Hoover, Alabama.
