CUTTING:
From Fabric A, cut:
• (2) 5¾” x 5¾” squares
• (1) 4½” x 4½” square

• (2) 4½” x 4½” squares. Cut squares in half diagonally to make 4 HSTs.
• (4) 2½” x 2½” squares
From Fabric C, cut:
• 5¾” x 5¾” square
Block Assembly:
Sew (2) Fabric A HSTs to (1) Fabric B 2½” square as shown in Diagram 1. Join Fabric B HST to long edge to make Corner Unit. Make 4.

Referring to Diagram 1, draw a diagonal line on wrong side of (1) Fabric A 5¾” square. Place marked square over (1) Fabric B 5½” square. Sew a ¼” seam allowance on each side of drawn line. Cut in half on drawn line and press to make (2) HST Unit As. Trim to 5¼” each.

Repeat with (1) Fabric A 5¾” square and (1) Fabric C 5¾” square to make (2) HST Unit Bs as shown in Diagram 3. Trim to 5¼” each.

Referring to Diagram 4, draw a diagonal line perpendicular to seam on wrong side of (1) HST Unit A. This will be your cutting line. Mark sewing lines ¼” away from each side of cutting line. Place HST Unit A on top of HST Unit B, right sides facing and matching fabrics opposite each other. Sew along marked sewing lines. Then cut along marked cutting line to make (2) 3-Color Hourglass Units. Make 4.

Paying attention to orientation, lay out Corner Units, 3-Color Hourglass Units, and Fabric A 4½” square as shown in Diagram 5. Sew into rows. Sew rows together to make Aunt Dinah Block.
