Roman Stripe Block

FINISHED BLOCK SIZE: 8″ X 8″
Roman Stripe is a great pattern for using up leftover 2½”-wide strips from other projects or jelly rolls. You may piece 4 longer strips together and then cut units into 8½” increments to make multiple blocks.
Instructions:
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Read through entire pattern before beginning project. Use ¼” seam allowances with fabric right sides together. Pressing arrows are included with illustrations. Basic quiltmaking supplies are assumed.
FABRIC:
- (4) 2½” x 10½” strips in assorted colors
Block Assembly:
Sew (4) 2½” x 10½” strips together lengthwise. Press seams in one direction. Trim to make an 8½” x 8½” block (Diagram 1).
